Florence from Piazzale Michelangelo : These photo were taken from Piazzale Michelangel early in the morning. I was hoping that the differing light would be stunning but at the last momonent before the sun broke iabove the hill surronding the city; along came the clouds. The view are really good from the view point but better luck next time....

Fields of Gold - 2009 : The village, where I live, is surrounded in 'fields of gold'. ... the contrast between the blue sky, green copse and gold fields. The downside is that the rape blossom can set off the poor unfortunates who suffer from 'Hay fever'. At Least with photography you do not have to worry about the symptoms. Enjoy your spring.

Florence : I just took a few pictures and some candids .... Florence is a great place to visit - the 'feel' of the city changes very rapidly throughout the day. Though the city is old there is a young dynamic feel and an excitment brought to the city by the tourists.

October misty mornings : I was up early one morning in October 2008 and just picked my camera up as I took the dog for a walk. I was experimenting with the combination of exposure and focus. It is difficult to get sharp focus when the light is low and it is misty.

Guilden Morden between 'the wars' : Photographs of Guilden morden in early Cent 20th. In 1845, twenty-three men, women, and children emigrated from Guilden Morden in order to start a new life. They sailed on the Cataraqui, which on August 4 was wrecked and everyone on board drowned. The news took a long time to reach the village, but there were still people in the 1950s who could recall hearing from there grandparents about the mysterious bell that was heard tolling over Guilden Morden at what was later discovered to be the exact time of the shipwreck.
